This month we have a wonderful treat ~ guest posts for Happy lil ❤’s are baking ~ from some wonderful blogger friends! This week Kim from Mothering with Mindfulness is sharing a great recipe with us! Kim is a holistic nutritionist and shares some super recipes on her blog! Her son Reece is a super cutie and loves to get in the kitchen with her. And lucky me, I just got a copy of her book ~ Raising Happy Healthy Babies for my birthday *smile*

Mothering with Mindfulness

I am so happy to be here today sharing our little cooking adventure on Happy lil ❤’s are baking.

Reece and I love cooking together. You will often find him in the kitchen with me during meal preparations washing vegetables, peeling carrots, grinding or processing something and of course taste testing. Reece really loves it when we make “treats”. Last week I asked him if he wanted to make some Rice Crisp Squares and he immediately ran to the kitchen ready for action.

I got the recipe out and all the ingredients and then we got to it.

Reece added all the dry ingredients to one bowl, and then mixed them up.

He added the wet ingredients to the pot.
And then proceeded over to the stove to gently melt them together.

Then I added the dry mixture as he continued to stir.
We mixed it well and then transferred it to a pan to cool.

Lucky for me, Reece also likes to help clean up by drying the dishes.
And about an hour later the two of us enjoyed a lovely little snack together…yum!

Don’t they look delicious! Thanks so much Kim!!

And now, we can’t wait to see what you’ve been up to in the kitchen with your kids!
