Baking bread

Playgroup finished up before Christmas…
and we have been missing the lovely fresh baked bread
…the way we can mold it into our own creations

So using the recipe from our Waldorf Playgroup we made our own *smile*
2 cups wholemeal Spelt flour
a pinch of salt
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp honey
1 tsp dried yeast
150 ml warm water

We added the first five ingredients
before slowing and gradually pouring in the water… mixing thoroughly
After kneading for around 5 minutes we left the dough, covered in a bowl, to rise

Dino Boy and Little Miss Q then had a wonderful time
turning the dough into their own little whimsical bread creations *smile*
We again let the dough rise in a warm place for a little while
Before baking it for around 10 minutes at 200°C (390°F)

The warm rolls were delicious, spread with butter
eaten in the fresh air with some homemade lemonade
*smile*
{Dino Boy did say it wasn’t quite as good as the bread at playgroup!}

Happy baking,
Kelly

Little lambs

Since Christmas I have been on the crafting go-slow…
But of an evening, I am again feeling the itch to craft *smile*
I have really come to love hand sewing, I love that I can create in a short time…
…little animals that my kids will run off happily with the next day!
{they are small *wink*}
For these lovely little lambs I used the pattern in The Nature Corner
{it comes with three options for the lamb’s head position}
And now that I am coming to understand the construction side of things…
I’ve even come up with some patterns of my own
{more on that another day though!}

Oh and I have to share how much I adore rainbow thread…
It is just so jolly and smile inducing!
A big thank you to Aleta from Hinterland Mama for the gift of some *big happy smile*

Happy crafting
Kelly
