Waldorf Autumn Picnic

After a chilly morning, Sunday warmed up into a beautiful day with lovely blue skies and warm sunshine.

In fact, it was a perfect day for a picnic ~ an Autumn Picnic ~ at our Waldorf school!

We found a great spot for our blanket and sat down to enjoy a sausage sizzle, followed by chocolate chip biscuits… mmmm

While families flew kites in the sky, joined in egg and spoon races, we found a great area to play…

…there were giant sandpits for digging and making cubby houses… and steps for creating your own waterfall…

…’magic dust’ to fill our pockets

…and glimpses of whimsy and magic

The only thing missing was lashings of ginger beer (well if you happen to be an Enid Blyton character on a picnic) *smile*

In our Autumn garden,
Where we singing go,
Leaves are falling, falling, falling,
Wild the winds do blow

Warmly, Kelly

Echo, Echo

Echo! Echo! Every time we go through a tunnel we shout this out! And luckily we walk through an underpass fairly often.

Our walk takes us to a park (this was a couple of weeks ago ~ we would be a bit cold in shorts and t-shirts now!).

Little Miss Q has fun on the slide

And the swings

And on the way home we see a firetruck racing past!
