Knitted Farm Swap

Most evenings lately you would have found me knitting up a mini storm.
Or needle felting flowers into my knitted garden beds *smile*
My friend Carrie from Crafty Moms Share has organised a wonderful Knitted Farm Swap
And I am so excited to be part of it!
Ten ladies from around the world are all working on squares to swap…
Some are knitting corn fields, veggie patches, sheep paddocks, ponds… or flower gardens
And now my gardens are ready to start their journey to the States…

I can’t wait to piece our farm together…
I think I will have some excited children at Christmas time don’t you!!

A Feast for Crows (A Song of Ice and Fire, Book 4)

And I am enjoying the fourth title in A Song of Ice and Fire series by George R.R. Martin. There are new characters to meet, old ones to revisit and back stories making motivations clearer.
The pace has slowed but it is still a great page turner!
Sharing at Keep Calm Craft On at Frontier Dreams and Yarn Along at Small Things.

Happy knitting,

Kelly

Happy Family Times # 8 ~ indoor picnic

Have you done something fun with your family?

Carrie from Crafty Moms Share and I host  ~ Happy Family Times ~ so we can all share fun family ideas and hopefully inspire each other! So if you all danced one night, went for a walk, or enjoyed a special outing please link it up!

I adore books where food is almost a character…
…think of the fabulous feasts from the Harry Potter series
…the poignant food scenes in war torn Russia in The Bronze Horseman by Paullina Simons…
and (of course) Enid Blyton’s picnics *smile*
And since Master D and I are enjoying The Faraway Tree series, picnics are rather on our minds *smile*
So when Husband of Mine asked what meal I would like for Mothers’ Day, I said, a picnic!
Our Autumn nights are chilly, so we happily rearranged our lounge room for our picnic dinner *smile*

 Before enjoying a scrumptious British picnic {Jamie Oliver style} comprising of…
~ sausage rolls
~ lovely asparagus
~ crunch salad
And finishing our wonderful meal with Eton Mess
{crushed meringue, crème fraîche, fruit bliss!}
The only thing missing was lashings of ginger beer {hee hee}
What a wonderful Mothers’ Day!! Thank you Husband xx

We can’t wait to see what your family has been doing!
