Obstacle course!!

Some of Master D’s friends came over for a play and a BBQ the other weekend. For something different we set up an obstacle course in the backyard 🙂

We used our stump seats, some planks of wood, foam mats and Master D’s fort.

The kids seemed to enjoy jumping, balancing and climbing their way around! And some of the parents might have had a turn too (OK it was  me!) 😉

Happy days, Kelly

Baby Waldorf Dolls

Last Christmas I would not have imagined that I could give my children toys that I had made myself. I’m just thrilled to have found the inspiration to do so – much of that inspiration was found here in blogland 🙂 So a big warm thank you to everyone for sharing!

So here is a sneak peak at some of the Christmas presents my kids will be receiving…

For Little Miss Q

This baby Waldorf doll was inspired by Rhythm & Rhyme. Master D spotted me making it and said he loved it, so he gets one too 🙂

For Master D

His is actually made from the beginnings of a jumper I was knitting for him. But because my knitting needles were acquired to be swords – not once, but twice! – I gave up on it in frustration. I’m so glad I kept what I had done because it adapted so well to being a doll (and I’ve learnt to put my knitting out of sight!).

Another for Little Miss Q

Here is another baby Waldorf doll, this time inspired by The Gnome Craft Book.

I can’t wait to see their reactions!!

Warm wishes, Kelly
