crayon resist

Magical starry night

We like looking at the stars…
Although star gazing is more comfortable in the warmer months
{and we had snow the week we did this!}

So we decided to make our own star filled sky *smile*
Dino Boy enjoyed drawing his crayon stars

Before filling the sky with dark purple water colour paint…
And watching his stars shine through

Next he wanted to make rainbow swirls…
…madly drawing with colourful crayons
And then painting the sky around them

Crayon resist painting

For painting day recently Master D used crayons on bright orange paper.

Before using some blue watercolour paint, left over from another painting day, over the top.

At first he was frustrated that the paint wouldn’t stay where the crayon was. Soon though he seemed to enjoy testing the resistance out!

Afterwards I left him with some paint and paper while I was breastfeeding Little Miss Q and here is what he did!

Happy painting, Kelly
