Reading about Carrie’s family meals recently had me reflecting on our own…
While I was growing up we always sat around the table together to eat
We had a lovely big window in our dining room and I remember gazing out while sitting at the table
{my mum made each window a beautiful invitation into the garden}
When Husband and I first moved out of home together we stopped sitting at the table
I’m not even quite sure why? And we continued this way for many years…
Then last year {yes – only last year!} my mum gave us an inspiring cookbook
And we began enjoying cooking at a whole new level
{we often joke now that we can make much better meals than many restaurants!}
Because we wanted to be able to enjoy our meals all the more…
We wanted to linger and appreciate them
Since returning to the dinner table we’ve noticed…
…that Dino Boy eats much better and is more settled
and since Little Miss Q never knew any different she sits beautifully *smile*
And now our meals don’t seem quite complete unless we light a candle!
