A few weeks ago we went apple picking.
And I think it is the beginning of a new family tradition.
There was something about been out among the apple trees.
With the light filtering through. And the children munching their apples, before running to play.
We took our own basket {I happen to have a few baskets *wink*}
And when we arrived Max got straight to picking. While Ruby and Teddy were more interested in tasting!
I was rather tempted to sing one of our playgroup songs {I restrained myself, but will share it here}
Way up high in an apple tree
Two little apples were smiling at me
I shook that tree as hard as a I could
And down came the apples
Mmmm they taste good
We met our friends in the orchard, where they had been for a little while. Buckets full to the brim with apples.
Such a lovely way to spend a morning.
Next year we shall take a picnic and linger among the trees.
??? And here are more ways to celebrate Autumn ???
Blessings, Kelly
