Little lambs

Since Christmas I have been on the crafting go-slow…
But of an evening, I am again feeling the itch to craft *smile*
I have really come to love hand sewing, I love that I can create in a short time…
…little animals that my kids will run off happily with the next day!
{they are small *wink*}
For these lovely little lambs I used the pattern in The Nature Corner
{it comes with three options for the lamb’s head position}
And now that I am coming to understand the construction side of things…
I’ve even come up with some patterns of my own
{more on that another day though!}

Oh and I have to share how much I adore rainbow thread…
It is just so jolly and smile inducing!

Kangaroos

I’m Bounda, I’m Bounda, I’m Bounda the Kangaroo
I have two floppy ears and two paws, how do you do?
Two paws, how do you do?
I have a long tail and two flat feet
And I like to play where the grass is juicy and sweet
I’m Bounda, I’m Bounda, I’m Bounda the Kangaroo

Kangaroos are beautiful strong creatures…
that really do bound along *smile*
These kangaroos didn’t quite bound out from the wood though *smile*
I used my usual method… of cutting them using the scroll saw
Here is the pattern I came up with for them… in case you would like to try
The main work in making them was sanding, lots and lots of sanding…
mostly while at playgroup
{sometimes the kangaroos did bound off for a little play though!}
