A Christmas tree hunt


Hunting for the perfect Christmas tree marks the start of the season for me…
We lived in front of a pine forest growing up and the excitement of the tree hunt was amazing!

These days we go hunting on a bush property….
A drive away from our home
But the excitement is still there *smile*

We all wondered around looking for just the right one…

Max loved all the ribbons in some of the trees {lovely trees, picked by other families awaiting collection}


But soon ~ the tree was found… A good height, nice and full *smile*

And before we knew it…
…man had triumphed over tree *wink*

Nature walk

There is something super exciting about spotting lizards!

And there are lots to spot at our Botanic Gardens *smile*

The kids marched on ahead of me… on a mission
Ruby wanted to walk, walk, walk. Up and down steps, over bridges and along paths
{she has grown so much!}

And each time we came across a lizard we were all very excited!

They move amazingly quickly and love sun baking.


The Botanic Gardens are such a great place to explore, with winding paths going through the trees.
And stepping stones in the pond ~ perfect for jumping between!


To the sounds of birds and the wind.

And my children running and laughing *smile*
