Ladybug birthday cake

We have recently celebrated Little Miss Q’s 2nd birthday!
She couldn’t decide which cake she liked…
…so her dad and I helped by choosing a ladybug *grin*
We used our beautiful birthday ring for the first time…
With handmade beeswax birthday candles
Together with a bee {from here} and peg doll {from here} to decorate the ring
The anticipation was lovely to watch…
And soon enough the cake was cut and enjoyed

Husband of Mine made a tasty and pretty ladybug cake *grin*

Happy days,
Kelly

Waldorf inspired birthday gifts

Isn’t it fun getting ready for a birthday! Choosing special little presents, the cake, who to celebrate with *smile*
A-gift-giving-philosophy

We again kept to the gift giving philosophy we started using last year

Our choice for something they want was these gorgeous window blocks.

I love watching the kids play with loose parts and these blocks are beautiful casting rainbows on the carpet!

For something they need we knew we wanted to give her a special Waldorf doll ~ she is such a little mama!

I’d hoped to be able to make one for her, but time was against me, so this little baby doll was found on Etsy

For something to wear I had swapped for these magical butterfly wings sometime ago with Andrea from Ziezo Designs

But also couldn’t resist this sweet apron ~ perfect for a little one who loves to help bake *smile*

And since Little Miss Q and I are enjoying bedtime yoga ~ a new yoga book to share for something to read seemed just right!

Happy days,
Kelly
